2020 Subaru Outback in Central LA Makes its Debut

Design

All but the base trim of the sedan will get a new 11.6-inch portrait-oriented infotainment screen. Subaru's EyeSight Driver Driver Assist Technology suite now comes standard on all models, and it gains lane centering for even easier use of the adaptive cruise control. Top trims have driver fatigue monitoring, known as Driver Focus, that can tell when a driver's attention is straying from the road. The range-topping model has a Front View Monitor that uses cameras to monitor the forward blind spots as well.

Safety

Safety takes the front seat in the Outback, and in addition to stellar crash-test results, Subaru provides a suite of driver-assistance features on every model. All-wheel-drive is standard on all models—a hallmark of the Subaru brand—and helps the Outback earn its reputation as an outdoorsman's carryall. This all-new Outback is set to go on sale before the end of 2019.

Power

It will shift to the same new global platform as the Legacy, which promises increased rigidity, sharper handling, and improved refinement.
