Baldwin Subaru's Heartwarming Impact: Share the Love 2023
Love is in the air at the 2023 Subaru Share the Love® Event, marking the 16th year of Subaru and their retailers spreading joy and support to communities. A staggering $285 million has been donated to charities nationwide, with over 2,100 hometown charities benefiting from this initiative.
At Baldwin Subaru, the celebration goes beyond great vehicles – it's about supporting great causes. For every new Subaru purchased or leased, Subaru contributes $250 to the customer's choice of charities*. Baldwin Subaru takes it a step further, pledging $250 to Hogs for the Cause and New Heights Therapy Center for each vehicle sold or leased. Additionally, every routine service visit during the Share the Love Event results in a $5 donation to hometown charities.
From November 16 to January 2, customers not only drive away in a quality Subaru but also play a part in giving back to the community. The impact of these efforts was evident in 2022 when Baldwin Subaru donated $25,000 to Hogs for the Cause, providing support to 20 families facing Pediatric Brain Cancer.
Hogs for the Cause, a local non-profit in New Orleans, expressed their gratitude through a Love Promise Story, recognizing Baldwin Subaru as a beacon of compassion. The $25,000 donation translated into 20 family grants, alleviating financial burdens and offering a ray of sunshine in the challenging journey of pediatric brain cancer.
Richard Baldwin, owner of Baldwin Subaru, emphasized the personal connection to the cause, stating, "As a father of two, having the ability to bring awareness and advocate for the children who are fighting every day against their diagnosis is one of the many reasons we chose to partner with HOGS." Beyond financial assistance, Baldwin Subaru's team raised a total of $306,000 over the year, embodying the spirit of support, resilience, and unity. The impact extended to another hometown charity, New Heights Therapeutic Riding Center, a local Covington, Louisiana, non-profit, where Baldwin Subaru donated $15,000 in 2022. New Heights, providing therapeutic horse riding to individuals with disabilities and veterans battling PTSD, expressed their gratitude through a Love Promise Story. The generous donation went towards over 25 scholarships for their adaptive riding and veterans programs, as well as veterinary care for their horses.
Baldwin Subaru's commitment to the community doesn't stop there. Over the past 16 years, they have supported various local charities during the Subaru Share the Love Event, including Feeding the Needy, Habitat for Humanity, Upward Community Services, The Northshore Foodbank, and Safe Harbor.
